Truly fabulous hotel! Location, super quiet, heavenly beds, with great pillows .. well thought out, excellent mini with lots of local stuff available, really everything you need without making a fuss about it .. funky decor with a seriously excellent design ideas. Also dined at monster.. again really excellent! We were late night guests so opted for the less formal area.. top draw service, and my food was fabulous. My only sadness was I wasn’t there longer !! Would like to stay in a lake view with bath.. Next time!!

5 stars rating for a 5 star experience! Very funky styling and architectural design, we immediately fell in love when we walked in the building. Super cool, and even the room is the smallest type, it still feels comfortable and thoughtful in details. Can’t resist the roughness accent adds in the interior of the hotel, artistic and stylish! The Monster Restaurant was a good option to dine in as well! The staffs are super friendly and helpful!

My partner and I had our wedding reception here and it was absolutely magical 😍 From the moment we viewed the Mosaic Room, we knew this is where we wanted to have our special celebration! The wedding packages are very flexible and tailored to your needs and wants, right down to the food that's served! We had complimentary menu tasting before our event to ensure the food was what we envisioned, which was great! The staff were also very flexible with the room/space, allowing us to set it up how we wanted. We stayed in the Meandering Atrium room, which one night was included in our wedding package, but we extended it to 2 nights. The room was absolutely amazing and we were extremely comfortable! It was so lovely to have such an awesome room to make the occasion feel extra special. We will definitely be returning to Ovolo Nishi for our future wedding anniversaries and staying a night or two to treat ourselves and relive the wonderful experience we had!

Hotel with great decor, food and vibes, but what makes the place amazing is it's staff. Roisha, who works at reception, was extremely helpful and accommodating - highest recommendation!!!

A true gem in Canberra - stylish, comfortable, and unforgettable We’ve stayed at Ovolo Nishi at least four times throughout 2023, and even though some time has passed, we still think about it fondly. In Australia, it can be surprisingly hard to find a hotel that combines great design, comfort, and personality and this one absolutely nails it. The entire place is an experience on its own. The interiors are stunning, unique, artistic, and full of character. Every detail feels thoughtful and intentional. The staff is consistently kind, helpful, and welcoming. We genuinely can’t fault the service. The rooms are just perfect, great size, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The beds are insanely cozy, and the blackout curtains make it easy to completely switch off, even in the middle of the day. Total bliss. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast, it felt a bit uninspired and lacked the same care and flavour that shines through the rest of the hotel. But aside from that, we can’t recommend it enough. A beautiful stay, every time. Can’t wait to go back.

The rooms were really well designed, but the light switches were a little difficult to figure out which switch controlled which light. The food is great for breakfast, although the service was a little slow due to low staffing. The cinema downstairs was fun and easy to access, and gave the whole hotel a popcorn scent in the evening. Parking downstairs is either cheap with the hotel during the week or cheap with the public on the weekends and it is not mandatory to use hotel parking if staying at the hotel. Overall, a great place to stay with a modern design and atmosphere.

Stylish hotel with a central location. Recommend the atrium rooms as the sun room we were in faced the busy highway and was quite noisy. The aircon also seemed to have issues. Watch out for parking, it’s relatively expensive and the street parking nearby doesnt do overnight unless you are leaving before 6am. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

I firmly believe in adding Google reviews in addition to Booking.com reviews, as sometimes neither tally in ratings... but this is an absolutely wonderful gem of a spot, so quirky, modern and fun. Rooms are clean and service is on point, with the staff bring very friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast included which is well worth the price, as it's delicious and comes as a combo with multiple hot/cold drink inclusions. On a further plus side, it's at the heart of everything, with shops and an amazing variety of eateries nearby. Plus, the more historic side of town is just across the bridge. A note about parking, if you want to park through the hotel, you need to prebook a space. We didn't, but we were able to park underground to the building through a parking app suggested by reception. Parking was nearly always plentiful especially on weekends, so one shouldn't struggle too much there. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

A beautiful experience at Ovolo Nishi I attended a fantastic event organised by Edward Zia at Ovolo Nishi, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel has a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff were outstanding. Every interaction was professional, friendly, and genuinely caring, which added so much to the overall experience. Ovolo Nishi is a true gem in Canberra a place where great design meets genuine hospitality. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for an unforgettable five-star experience.

Stayed at the 1 bedroom Lakeview apartment for a staycation after a work Christmas party. Loved how quaint it was, the room was just perfect for just myself, didn’t really notice not having aircon cause the balcony was really cooling. Would book here again in the future! Bar staff were absolutely lovely to deal with and so were reception staff, so accomodating to my last minute changes, and the event staff were so wonderful to deal with as well!
